Meals: Dinner - Day 2Bordeaux FranceFri, Sep 17, 2027
Welcome to the most famous wine region in the world. Bordeaux has nearly 6,000 wineries and 272,000 acres of vineyards, with the most planted grape being the Merlot. Known as the "City of art, history and cuisine" this southwestern city of France boasts 362 monuments, including some from the Roman era, well-preserved 18th-century architecture, including grand boulevards, elegant squares and numerous Michelin-starred restaurants. Your first morning begins with a choice of excursion; you may choose a more active e-bicycle ride to a family-owned 16th-century chateau and vineyard for a hike along the nature trails and compliments with wine tasting at the end. Alternatively, discover the beautiful city of Bordeaux with local insights on an orientation drive, en route to Cité du Vin; Bordeaux's wine museum where you'll learn about the influence of wine as a universal cultural heritage. Touring of a wine museum would only be complete with a tasting - which you'll enjoy in their decorated tasting room. Following your choice of explorations this morning, and free time for lunch, join us for a foodie walking tour with a focus on the local gastronomic cuisine. Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Meals: Breakfast - Day 3Sat, Sep 18, 2027
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for the quaint medieval town of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site named after Saint Aemilianus, a Breton monk who lived in the 8th century. Much like Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion is known for its world-famous wineries, where Romans planted vineyards that date back to 2nd century AD. Join our local guide for a more challenging walking tour through its hilly cobblestone streets, followed by a visit to a local Chateau for a tour, wine tasting and a lunch that entices with local flair.

From the world-renowned wine region to "la ville lumière," (the city of lights) make your way to Paris, where your river cruise awaits. Paris earned its sobriquet during the enlightenment, a philosophical movement that began in the early 17th century, in recognition of its importance as the center for art, education and intellectual pursuits. After a scenic high-speed train ride, embark your ship, settle in and join us for a welcome reception and dinner aboard your floating hotel.
Meals: Breakfast - Day 5Paris, FranceMon, Sep 20, 2027
A full day in Paris begins with promise and possibility – and your choice of curated experiences to explore the city's many facets. After breakfast aboard your riverboat, join a local guide for a walking tour through the storied Latin Quarter. Stroll past Sorbonne University – one of Europe's most prestigious institutions, founded in the Middle Ages – and continue to the neoclassical Panthéon, a national mausoleum honoring the great men and women of France. Your walk concludes in the elegant Luxembourg Gardens, often named the most beautiful garden in Europe. Prefer to take in the city with less walking? Opt for a panoramic coach tour offering a broad overview of Paris's most iconic landmarks – from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triomphe and the grand sweep of the Champs-Élysées – all from the comfort of your seat. Or, for a more offbeat indulgence, choose a guided walking tour with a visit to a cheese museum, where you'll learn about the history and craft behind France's famed fromage – with tastings, of course. Return to the ship for a leisurely lunch, with time to unwind before an engaging onboard wine presentation sets the tone for cocktail hour, dinner in the lounge, and an evening of local entertainment.

Question: Will the day-by-day itinerary change?
Question: In what language is the river cruise conducted?
Great trip-Keukonhof gardens very special. MS Treasures was a lovely boat
It was the first of - I hope- many. Excellent organization and staff.
Tauck were totally totally outstanding in every way
Great trip.
We had a marvelous trip. Tauck thinks of everything!!
Tauck was fabulous -- ship was beautiful and the staff was above and beyond in every area!! Food and drinks were great!! Loved the Itinerary -- we went 2 days early and stayed 2 after and Tauck made sure all was taken care of -- picked up upon arrival and car to airport upon departure. Local guides were great with a fun sense of humor.
Tauck is always an outstanding experience.
Enjoyed all aspects of the Tauck Cruise.
Once you take a Tauck tour, you'll never go with another Operator. The Tauck experience was incredible and totally worth the money. Can't think of one thing to complain about or would change.
This trip was wonderful. Tauck experience is over the top and enjoyed every minute.
Tauck tours are always very professional and first class. The river boat that Tauck leased was gorgeous, with large bathrooms and well appointed cabins. The food was ample and very good, with a reasonable selection for all palates. The ports of call were lovely; while we did not stop at some of the larger cities such as Cologne, it allowed us to often be the only river boat at each port for many of the ports of call. The tours on land were diverse and interesting, and the Tauck tour directors made sure that the tours were informative and top notch.
While this trip was nice, it was a little bit boring. We had day trips in the morning. One of the excursions took us to a small town in Austria. It took 1 hour 45 minutes to get there and return. We had a 45 minute tour. Then there was lunch but there wasn\'t much else to do. We left at 9 a.m. and returned at 5 p.m. When we went to Vienna there were great tours in the morning but not enough time to do an on our own tour in the afternoon because of the bus schedule. If you like to do nothing in the afternoon or eat or drink or read then you will like this tour. If you are an adventure traveler, River cruising isn\'t great. The food was mediocre. The service was great.
While watching a video on the history of Tauck during a coach ride portion of this tour, I was surprised to find out that this company pioneered land tours in North America, and was the first to offer European river cruises. Tauck takes care of even the smallest details, from tipping local guides to providing us with coins to use restrooms during walking tours of the various cities we visited. WiFi onboard is complimentary -- something even NatGeo doesn\'t offer on their cruises. And, an open bar to boot, where I ordered the most exotic cocktails and kept the bartenders grinning and guessing as to their ingredients. Our arrivals at hotels in separate coaches on land portions of the tour were coordinated beforehand with our rooms and luggage, so that we did not have to spend any time standing in large gatherings in the hotel lobby waiting for rooms to be assigned and room keys slowly doled out as in other tours. As we off boarded our coaches, we were handed our room keys and were able to proceed immediately to our rooms, with our luggage delivered soon thereafter. Each hotel stay was fabulous and impressive -- four stars all the way. Live orchestral music gave our dining experiences a truly special touch.
The Danube river cruise trip from Prague to Budapest was excellent; superior service and itinerary. This is our 2nd trip booked through Affordable Tours and would not hesitate to use your organization again.
