Viking Vili River Cruises Reviews

Really enjoyed our experience on the Viking River Cruise. Everything was done in a very professional and friendly manner. Would highly recommend. Our social director, Petra was exceptional!

Viking was able to handle low river water conditions in the best way I would think would be available. Many other river cruise ships were sending their travelers home a week early, where Viking had a way to work around the condition as best as possible without cancelling the cruise.

Viking does everything right!! The itinerary was amazing on this trip, the ship and staff even better. We have done many ocean cruises and enjoyed them, but this was an unparalleled experience! We had three weeks of unbelievable fun! Will definitely sail again with Viking.

The facilitied and staff were extremely nice and exceeded expectations. The best for us were the other travelers. We were all around 60-70ish, very active walkers and cyclists (only one opportunity to cycle was sceduled at our request). We were knowledgeable frequent travelers rather than the first-time older tourist we expected to find. Included tours had experienced educated guides and in some places included really interesting extensions with fantastically informed specialist guides to extend our knowledge. As our first river cruise we, as usually indpendent travelers, were well pleased with all the trip. And our agent at Affordable Tours, helped us simplify the booking and extension process.

I realized that the concerns of this cruse were not Affordable Tours responsibly. But I understand that the water level in the rivers had been on going for several months. I was unaware of this situation until the week prior to departure when I received an E mail about one transfer. The boat was very acceptable, but the 3 additional bus transfers were unacceptable. Not only did we miss much of the river experience, we packed, unapacked and were crammed in a tour bus way more than we should have had to endure. I am a tour planner and I was looking at Viking to take a group for the future trips. This experience was not well received and I hope you can advise other travelers before this happens again.
