Viking Tor River Cruises Reviews

It was a great trip, although we'd prefer taking it when it was warmer. Fortunately, we had no rain. Viking staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Onshore excursions were nice but the guides walked too fast for us senior citizens.

This was our first tour with Viking and we were very pleased. The service and personal attention was wonderful. The excursions were delightful, and that includes both the included city tours and the paid excursions. We will choose Viking again in the future.

When we arrived at the airport we had to wait on passengers for quite a while who turned out to have arrived on a prior flight. The cruise and staff was very good till we got to the airport where a viking representaive was supposed to meet the bus which did not happen which caused confusion and standing in the wrong lines. In sum, the transitions from and to the airport could be improved.

This was the 4th trip I booked with Affordable tours, they are always professional. I will definitely use them to book my next vacation.

Staff bent over backwards to help - both at the desk and in the dining room. Food was fabulous - and occasionally there were dinner buffets. But for regular served meals there was no option to get a smaller senior portion, despite the fact that most of us were seniors. So we overate or just wasted a lot of food. Other comment is the huge volume of advertising mail we get from Viking - waste of huge glossy books about ocean cruises which do not interest us at all. Way too many brochures and other incentives. How can we opt out of these???

Unfortunately, river levels were too low so we did not do very much river sailing.

The staff, accomadations, meals were excellent. The ship was very clean and to our expectations.
