Best Value and Service on Viking Aegir River Cruises
If there was any big surprise, it was how educational this trip was. There were issues with low water levels, but Viking did everything in their power to make transitions as smooth as possible.
Room was smaller then pictures or what I expected.
Viking staff was absolutely amazing!
Great overall experience!
Viking is first class all the way and we may travel with them again, depending on how what they offer fits our schedule.
The Hilton Budapest where we stayed the last two nights of the trip was a change from the previously named Le Meridien. The Hilton is located on Buda beside the castle/cathedral. It was nice, but beware that the bottle of water sitting outside the refrigerator is 1700 HUF, which is about $6.80 for about a 1/2 litre. You can buy a liter of drinking water at the Prima Super market, which is two blocks away for just .66 HUF, which is about 30 cents US.
This was our first river cruise, but I can't imagine it being any better. Viking Cruises took care of every little detail from the time we landed in Prague until the time we left Budapest. Nothing was left to chance and the service was top of the line. Thanks Viking.
