- Day 1PragueWed, Nov 26, 2025
Prague is known as the "City of a Hundred Spires” and it is easy to see why. The towering twin steeples of Týn Church and the beautiful baroque Church of St. Nicholas are among some of the city's most notable. Best explored on foot, Prague's Old Town is a maze of ancient cobblestone lanes with the Old Town Square at its core. Here, the medieval Astronomical Clock still chimes today and provides for its viewers a little theater with the "Walk of the Apostles” on the hour, every hour.
- Day 2PragueThu, Nov 27, 2025
Few cities embody the past as authentically as Prague, the Czech Republic's atmospheric capital on the Vltava River that clings to its history with unwavering passion. Prague's medieval architecture is its most prominent feature, but the city is also a rich repository of Romanesque, baroque and art nouveau buildings that stir the imagination. The city's graceful, pedestrian-only Charles Bridge served as the coronation route of the kings of Bohemia across the river to Hradčany Castle and its rich complex of royal buildings.
- Day 3BambergFri, Nov 28, 2025
Founded in 902, Bamberg remains a medieval-looking city known for its symphony orchestra and rauchbier, specialty smoked beer. The city's winding streets are filled with baroque patrician houses and are home to the stunning 11th-century Cathedral of Holy Roman Emperor Heinrich II, housing his tomb and that of Pope Clement II. Bamberg is especially noted for its Altes Rathaus, or Old Town Hall, situated on a twin-arched bridge over the Regnitz River, and for the old bishop's houses: the 16th-century Alte Hofhaltung (Old Court) and 17th-century Neue Residenz (New Residence).

Questions & Answers Ask A Question
Question: Will the day-by-day itinerary change?
Question: In what language is the river cruise conducted?
This was our second Viking cruise. We chose them again because they exceeded our expectations on our first cruise.
The hotel in Paris was totally unprepared for the amount of guests that came. Room wasnt made up and I had to go get towels myself. The breakfast buffet was a disaster. They only had 3 people working the restaurant and it was painfully obvious that they were not ready for us. They tried their best. I talked to the night manager and he expressed the difficulty that they were having in hiring competent staff (seems to be a common problem). The Hyatt in the Czech Republic was execellent. Truely, the difference was night and day. I would be very reluctant to recommend the Paris Hotel to anyone. Cabin on ship was excellent.
We enjoyed our experience with Viking river cruise. We just wish our room wasn't so noisy as it seems we were located near the engine.
The trip wa excellent and the tours offered were great. The ship was clean and the staff courteous.
Their were a few bumps along the way,( none of them your fault) thoroughly enjoyed our stay down the Rhine.
Be sure you have comfortable walking shoes! We loved the walking tours. The food was excellent and just the right size portions.
We had to change ships due to low water level, Viking handled the switch as well as could be expected
If traveling with Viking Cruise line, always book your airline travel through them. If you have any problems, Viking will make sure it is fixed and the issue kept at a minimum.
A few trips listed as easy within the Vikibg tour were not easy walking
