The cruise was as advertised, almost. One engine failed and we had to do the last day's tour by bus, then be bussed to Basel to stay the last night. The incident was handled professionally and we didn't miss any of the planned tours. This was our first river cruise and the ability to see multiple places without having to change where we stayed appealed to us. The problem was that, while the day tours were handled very well, we felt that in almost all cases we would have preferred to have more time. This is not an issue with Scenic, but rather with the whole river cruise experience. That is why we probably will not take another river cruise.
Scenic River Cruise was fantastic. Service and food were both absolutely wonderful. Exceeded our expectations and will travel again with Scenic.
