In Strasbourg, France, stroll through the picturesque La Petite France district. Visit the ruins of Heidelberg’s castle or stop in Ludwigshafen for a visit to Schwetzingen Castle. Sail through the dramatic Rhine Gorge, the most beautiful view of the Rhine River where ancient castles stand on cliffs 400 feet above the water. Your last stop in Germany is Cologne, where a guided walk shows you the highlights of this 2,000-year-old city. A stay in Holland’s popular, modern capital of Amsterdam is the perfect way to conclude this sensational European river cruise. Questions & Answers Ask A Question
Question: Will the day-by-day itinerary change?
Question: In what language is the river cruise conducted?
Did not know what to expect with a river cruise as we've always gone on large cruise ships but ended up loving it.
Enjoyed our first river cruise and will definitely book again.
Internet was only available inside boat in many cases, on upper deck and anywhere outside it was spotty. The crew members were awesome. This was our first cruise with Avalon, we had previously cruised with another company on the Rhine, but were joining our friends who had already selected Avalon, and we were pleased with it.
Loved the River cruise venue. Intimate, quiet, and friendly.
We have been on 2 Avalon river cruises and the 2nd one was even better than the first. They are a class act and provide many options. Service is excellent and the staff, crew and managers were always friendly, helpful and accommodating. It also appears that both companies work well together, as our total experience was seamless.
